Honey Roasted Almonds

If you have a sweet tooth like me, indulging in something with sugar is a normal occurrence. Unfortunately, many of the healthier ready-to-eat options at the grocery store are so full of sugar that they don't seem quite so healthy anymore. This is why making your sweets at home is the best choice as you can control how much sugar and other sweeteners are added. Check out these honey roasted almonds, one of my go-to sweet snacks!

Ingredients:
1 cup whole unsalted roasted almonds
1 T honey
1 T water
1 tsp canola oil
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Directions:
In a small saucepan combine canola oil, honey, and water over medium heat. Bring mixture to a boil, reduce heat to low, add almonds, and stir to combine. Continue to stir until liquid is gone. Remove from heat and add sugar, salt, and cinnamon. Mix together until evenly coated. Spread almonds on a lined baking sheet and allow to cool. Enjoy!
